Emily and Michael’s Country Western Wedding

Some love stories feel like they were meant to circle back to where they began — and for Emily and Michael, November 1st holds that meaning. They started dating on November 1st, 2017. Seven years later to the day, on November 1st, 2024, Michael proposed during a peaceful walk with their dogs through a forest preserve. So when it came time to set a wedding date, there was only one that made perfect sense: November 1st, 2025.

The couple wanted their day to feel simple, fun, and true to who they are. When they found Country Coach House, Emily said it was “such a cute and meaningful venue” — the perfect place for a relaxed country/western-style celebration surrounded by family and friends.

When we asked Emily what she was most looking forward to, her answer was simple and beautiful: “Walking down the aisle.” There’s something so timeless about that moment—the music, the anticipation, and the joy that fills the air.

The couple describes their wedding theme as Country/Western, a style that fits perfectly with their laid-back personalities and the cozy charm of the venue. They wanted to keep things simple, fun, and memorable, which shines through in every choice—from the taco truck they chose for dinner (“because it’s fun and everyone will remember it!”) to their rustic décor from HomeGoods.

Emily’s dress came from The Crystal Bride, and her boots—because of course she had boots—were found at a shop in Nashville. Michael’s outfit came together from Farm & Fleet and Kohl’s, blending comfort and country style effortlessly. The bridesmaids found their dresses on Azazie, and the flower girl’s dress was from Amazon—a true mix of practical and personal touches.

One of the sweetest details? The bride and her bridal party are all hairdressers, so they’ll be doing their own hair and makeup together on the wedding morning. We love that—it’s such a fun, relaxed way to start the day surrounded by friends.

Their DJ, Brad Snow, is a family friend with a special connection to Emily’s grandfather, adding another layer of meaning to the celebration.

Guests enjoyed signature drinks, Emily’s Tito’s & lemonade, and Michaels, Captain Spiced Rum & Coke, and a variety of wines, followed by desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes—a perfect sweet ending to a joyful day.

Emily’s advice for future couples planning their wedding is heartfelt and wise: “Soak it all in—the time goes by so fast.”

We couldn’t agree more.
